Dexter is currently seeking a 2nd Shift Manufacturing Supervisor for our Memphis location to supervise all department production processes for the shift to ensure that established quality levels and production standards and needs are met.

Essential Functions of the role include, but are not limited to:

  • Coordinate with other shift managers and the Director of Manufacturing adequate people coverage of production equipment and processes.
  • Work with all shifts and teams to understand the priority and scheduling of jobs to be completed during the shift.
  • Maintain quality and accuracy of the produced product; take the necessary steps to correct the work being produced.
  • Ensure the availability of materials needed to produce product.
  • Communicate to all shifts and management daily metrics of the shift to include status of work, equipment functionality, quality concerns and/or other pertinent information as applicable.
  • Attend production meetings and interface with scheduling as needed to insure on-time production.
  • Perform weekly/monthly operational reporting for efficiency, production, downtime, and waste/spoilage.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

To be considered for this role, the qualified candidate will have 5+ years in a progressive people leadership role (manager, supervisor, team-lead); High school diploma or GED required, college degree preferred; experience in printing a plus. He or she must also have a mechanical aptitude and ability to quickly understand the necessary supplies and raw materials needed in a print environment. Overtime will be required as is the ability to work at a rapid pace as well as handle multiple projects at one time; and the ability to easily navigate in necessary computer applications and understand applicable metrics for reporting purposes.
